SWerner News: Bull Durham, The Musical, at Duke!

Some of you may recall I was working on a musical, back before that little thing called the pandemic.  

Well, the Bull rises again! The show goes up this September at Duke University (in Durham) in a post-pandemic reboot, and I couldn't be more excited.  Writing the music and lyrics for this story (yes, the MGM film from 1986) has been a unique challenge, and uniquely rewarding; it's thrilling to hear the music combined with actors and dancers and choreography and lighting to make the magic that is musical theater.   

I'll be at all the shows the first week (Sept 10 -15), but lemme recommend coming to Opening Night, Fri Sept 13th, 'cause there's no experience quite like it.  A whole lotta talent and effort and planning and money all landing like a giant spaceship at exactly 7:30 pm - whoa.
